Breaking: President Buhari Removes Pondei, Appoints Interim NDDC Administrator

According to report reaching oyogist.com, President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered the removal of Mr. Kemebradikumo Pondei, as the Director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and approved the appointment of an interim administrator to direct the affairs of the commission.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, made this known in a statement released by him on Friday in Abuja.

The President has now ordered the appointment of Mr. Effiong Okon Akwa, Acting Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the NDDC, as the new Interim Administrator of the NDDC.

According to the statement issued by Mr. Femi Adesina, it reads; “The development became necessary as a result of a plethora of litigation and a restraining order issued recently against the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC by a Federal High Court in Abuja.”
