According to Reports reaching Oyogist.com, the Ethiopian Prime Minister has told Ethiopians that military groups in the country would begin it’s final offensive in Mekelle, the capital city of the country’s northern Tigray region.
Prime minister Abiy said more than the 72 hrs ultimatum given to the forces has expired and urged residents of the region to stay calm.
“The 72-hour period granted to the criminal TPLF clique to surrender peacefully is now over and our law enforcement campaign has reached its final stage,” Prime minister Abiy wrote in a tweet on Thursday.
