OYOGist.com has learned that Babajide Kolade otitoju an award winning journalist, while lending his voice on the weekly edition of the popular program “Journalist Hangout” on TVC news, has reacted to the seven point agenda presented by the Lagos state police command to Governor Babajide Sanwo olu.

Babajide while reacting said “ I believe all the 7 point agenda presented to the Governor is a brilliant idea, but the police should remember that they don’t take orders from the Governors across the state. Some of the agenda is that the Governor should improve their welfare, and also rebuild all the burnt police stations to a better standard.”

“Also, the Governor should reach out to the family of the slain police officers during the crisis, and majorly grant scholarships to their children.”

“For me I think the Governor have been funding the police indirectly by giving them vehicles for patrol, so I believe it is time to clamor for state police, so the Governors can take full responsibility for these police officers. Police don’t take orders from the Governors, they take direct orders from the IGP. It is going to be a difficult task for the Governors to take full responsibility of the damaged property.”

“I think it is time for full reform in our security architecture, so the police can be better taking care of, and also give them mental security so they can carry out their duties diligently,” Babajide said.
