Kaduna Government Raises Alarm Over Consumption Of Expired Drugs And Food Looted In The State

OYOGist.com has learned that the Kaduna state commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affair, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, has raise alarm over the consumption of expired drugs and prohibited foods looted in Narayi, Barnawa and Kakuri on Saturday.

According to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), the items looted yesterday from their warehouse in the Narayi area of Chikun LGA, include expired, prohibited and dangerous drugs. The agency has warned that all those who will consume such items are at great risk of serious illness and death.

He also said that the management of a food processing company, whose stores were looted in Kakuri has disclosed that the stolen grains are unsafe for consumption, after been treated with chemical preservatives.

All residents of kaduna state are hereby notified to be vigilant and careful about the source of food and meditations they consume from now, to avoid dangers of ill health.

The authorities in the state also appealed to the public to expose the looters and send their locations to them, in order to save the lives of the people.
