According to Information reaching Oyogist.com, the average daily number of COVID-19 cases in England has doubled in a week, a survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows.
Meanwhile, England’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson has sought advice from top Officials in order to tackle a second wave of COVID-19 with local measures put in place to avoid another national lockdown
.The ONS survey estimate said the new cases of COVID-19 in England were around 17,200 per day as of last week, compared to 8,400 per day in the previous week.
Areas such as the North East, North West and Yorkshire are currently suffering the highest rates of infections.
