According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, Arsenal football club are demanding a whooping 8 million euros for Folarin Balogun who is targeted by Brentford this summer.

The 19-year-old striker has a year left on his contract at Arsenal and he has refused to sign an extension after accepting that he might not get into the first-team next season.

The striker is targeted by Brentford, who are a game away from sealing their promotion to the Premier League. And amid those transfer links, the London club have now indicated that they want a sizeable transfer fee in the region of 8 million euros in order to let him go this summer.

The Gunners’ price is considered high for a 19-year-old striker who has never played a first-team game and can leave for free next summer.

However, the price will not necessarily deter Brentford if they win promotion to the Premier League – they battle Fulham in the play-off final on Tuesday evening for a place in the Premier League.

Brentford were keen to sign Folarin Balogun during the winter transfer window but they couldn’t agree a deal with Arsenal.

He is highly valued by other clubs in the Premier League and has been monitored by the likes of Liverpool.

Folarin Balogun banged in 10 goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances for Arsenal’s U23s this season and he could leave Arsenal for Brentford in search of regular first-team football.
