He urged them to work closely with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation and the Department of Petroleum Resources so as to have a Petroleum Industry bill submitted to the National Assembly by the time they resume.

Nigerians are however not happy with the decision of the Senate to go on a vacation at such a crucial time in the country. The country continues to face insecurity issues with banditry and terrorism ravaging the northern part of the country. Nigerians also cited the fact that the NDDC probe is still going on and we’ll forget the issue after the eight weeks break.

Another twitter user berated the Senate saying they will not be missed. He said it’s not as if they were doing anything beneficial in the country and they can go for as long as they want. People also expressed their dissatisfaction at the fat that they will be on paid vacations.

We actually expected them to toe this line. After all, Senator Akpabio had indicted them, and they had to run to their tents for the heat to cool off before resurfacing. A bunch of useless idiots.
