Buhari passes adjusted 2020 N10.8Trn budget

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday, 10th of July, passed the new adjusted 2020 budget into law, OYOGist.com has gathered.

Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, in a meeting with the National Assembly on Thursday to discuss the 2021-2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper made the revelation.

According to Zaina Ahmed, President Muhammadu Buhari was going to sign in the revised 2020 budget into law on Friday (today).

The Minister made the briefing while speaking with top members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, which included Senate President Ahmed Lawan and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.

According to Zainab, President Buhari had instructed the ministry to fast track the process to enable him to present the 2021 budget bill to the National Assembly by the end of September 2020.
