According to report reaching OYOGist.com, EFCC Boss Ibrahim Magu has been allegedly suspended as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This development comes a day after he was arrested and detained by security operatives in Abuja. He had appeared before a panel probing allegations of gross misconduct against him.

However, according to reports, he was arrested over allegations that he owns four properties and that he was allegedly transferring funds abroad through a third party.

Yesterday, combined security team stormed the EFCC office at Wuse II in three trucks to arrest and move Magu to the Presidential Villa in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory to face the panel.

Magu’s arrest earlier on Monday afternoon had sent a frenzy across the landscape especially with the large number of policemen and Department of State personnel deployed to the EFCC office to seize him. The DSS in a 2016 report revealed that Magu was living in a N40m mansion.
