Covid-19: Osun State to Begin another Total Lockdown on Tuesday July 7th

OYOGist.com has learned that prior to a fresh release, from the Osun state government through the Executive Governor of Osun state Alhaji Isiaka Oyetola, has announced on his Twitter handle that some part of the state will begin another total lockdown. This is coming as a result of the community transmission of COVID-19, there have been rampant positive cases of COVID 19 in some part of state.

While speaking , the Governor said the affected local government areas are Ilesa East, Ilesa west, Atakunmosa east and Atakunmosa west. He said the NCDC have been recording positive cases from these local government areas in the past few weeks.

He said it is imperative for the state to protect the lives of citizens, by locking down the affected areas. He enjoined the affected areas to adhere strictly to the lockdown rules, because there will be deployments of security personnel on the road to enforce the lockdown.

He said the lockdown will be for a week starting from Tuesday July 7 2020. The people in the affected areas are to begin to stock food as from today Saturday till Monday 6th July 2020.
