Chelsea have been reportedly interested in securing the services of Everton full-back, as a cheaper alternative for Ben Chiwell. The West London club has continuously been linked with defenders, as they seek for an improvement in their defensive line, oyogist.com reports.

Among the defenders is Leicester City left back Ben Chiwell, who has been rumoured with a move to the West London club, but the price tags put on his shoulder in excess of £70m by Leicester City, has made the Blues to be in search of a cheaper alternative to the 23-year-old England international.

However, the West London club have reportedly viewed Everton defender Lucas Digne, as a cheaper alternative for Ben Chiwell.

Lucas Digne who joined the Toffees from Barcelona in a deal that worth £18m, has been directly involved in 17 goals for the Premier League outfits, founding the back of the net 5 times and assisted 12 times in 70 games in all competitions.
