As 2023 Presidential Election is warming up, few politicians are showing their interest and ambition for the election and it leading to a controversial situation among the Southerners and the Northerners.
Lately yesterday, The President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) Shettima Yerima has opined that the how can 2023 Presidency Power goes to the South again, he included in his interview with the journalist that the north still need presidency.
Shettima Yerima, also said the south have the Economic Power and the only power north have is the political power and it should not be taken from them anytime soon.
He said, “How can you think we will cede power to the South in 2023? The North still wants the presidency. The south is in charge of the economy and they have everything, so why would they want to take away the only thing we have. What would you call that?”
“Even if we are to give power to the south in 2023, we should be consider the likes of Orji Uzor Kalu. He is someone the north trusts and the Northern elders will give him their full support.”

So you feel you are now the President maker. We need to establish a balance whereby the presidency is rotated and not just fixated on the North to be given out whenever they feel like.
