Oyo witness alarming rise in COVID-19 cases as 103 new cases confirmed in 24hrs

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Oyo State hit an alarming high record on Thursday, 18th of June, 2020 when 103 new confirmed cases were recorded within 24 hours in the state, OYOGist.com reports.

This is the highest ever number of confirmed cases reported in a single day in Oyo State.

The new number was announced by the NCDC on Thursday night.

With the lockdown already eased, and the Oyo State government already announcing plans to reopen religious places of worship and schools in the state, people in the state might begin to start getting infected in even higher numbers.

Lagos State recently canceled its planned reopening of mosques, churches and other religious places of worship.
