Oyo PDP Crisis: Committee To Settle Internal Crisis Inaugurated By Governor Makinde

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the reconciliation committee to address internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
The task before the committee, according to the governor is to address challenges confronting the party by sorting out members with legitimate expectations and entitlement.

“The task before this committee is to assist us to get rid of all the challenges confronting our party, PDP in Oyo State. Yes, failure is hard to take, but success is harder to manage because expectations are quite high.

“We are one year two weeks for this administration and for some of our party members expectations have not been met either rightly or wrongly. Some have legitimate expectations but some are being used by external forces outside our party against the party.

“The committee will work on how to address the issue of those that avee legitimate expectations,” Governor Makinde said. The committee, which consists mainly elders has Dr. Saka Balogun as the chairman.

Members include Chief Jacob Adetoro, Chief Sunday Ogunlade, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja, Chief Jumoke Akinjide, Kunmi Mustapha and Chief Layiwola Baale.

The Chairman of the committee, Dr. Saka Balogun expressed the readiness of the committee to carry out the task assigned to them as soon as terms and references of the assignment is given.

He commended Governor Makinde for the quality service his administration has been rendered for the people of Oyo State in the last one year.
