APC CRISIS: Mass Defection Of APC Members, As Over 10,000 Defects To PDP

According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, there has been reports of a mass defection in the All Progressive Congress camp in Kwara state, as over 10,000 persons said to be formally loyal to the All Progressive Congress (APC) decamped to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the early hours of Thursday, the 4th of June 2020.

According to a reliable source, this defections happened in just the Kwara North Senatorial District alone, which embraces about five local government areas in the state.

These decampees allegedly singled out representatives to attend the declaration ceremony in the state, as a way of obeying the social distancing rule in curbing the spread of the Corona virus infection.

Leader of the group Alhaji Manzuma Kawodogo, stated that they (the defectors) made the decision to him the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) because of the internal crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress in the state, which has hampered by growth of the party in the state.

While welcoming the decampees, the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Shittu Kola, said they will not be discriminated as they will be given the full privileges as enshrined in the party’s constitution.
