At the moment when it seems kogi state government has rekindled the war of wits With the Nigerian centre for Disease control officials, comes the voice of a Kogi born activist and blogger, Austin Usman Okai who accused the governor of causing unnecessary tension in the State.
It was reported that, Kogi government has warned the people of the state against accessing healthcare services at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja. Speaking at the tip of the weekly Kogi State council meeting in Lokoja on Wednesday, the state Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo said FMC Lokoja has “become an incubation point for breeding false COVID-19 cases.”
Fanwo alleged that the Federal Ministry of Health and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and bringing “compromised machines to FMC Lokoja.” “The machine the Federal Ministry of Health and also the NCDC are bringing to Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja has been programmed to record positive Covid-19 cases only.

Their sample collection materials are infected with Covid-19. “Both the Federal Ministry of Health and NCDC don’t seem to be trusted and that we have every reason to not ever believe their commercial efforts against Covid-19.
The people should know that NCDC is needing to attack the people of Kogi State with Coronavirus the least bit cost. But the govt. of Kogi State will defend her people. Our people mustn’t panic. Government is on top of things,” he said. The Chief Medical Director of FMC Lokoja, Dr Olatunde Alabi, couldn’t be reach to react to the allegations.
Austin Okai who react to the claim via His Facebook account was quoted as saying, GYB is becoming a threat to the country and the entire people of Kogi state, his people needs to talk to him. How can you warns people not to go to FMC lokoja when you can’t even build a simple health care ? Are this people Normal??? This is time to talk … very confuse and clueless govenor. He concluded.
