OYOGist.com has learned that a zoom meeting involving the National Assembly Programming Committee(NAPC) was allegedly interrupted by hackers. The unsuspecting members started the meeting early Thursday morning, shortly after images of a pornographic nature followed by the voice of what is suspected to be a male featured on the screen.

The male voice was heard throwing insults at the National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise. The MPs present expressed their disgust on the matter, before long more images and insults followed.

Zoom has been under the microscope for the past month, with many countries expressing their apprehension to the sites security capabilities.

Zoom is a video communications platform that allows you host a group of people in a call, instead of just a single person. It has been a widely popular system since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, with businesses and governments relying on it as a way to communicate with stakeholders. ‘

A lawsuit was filed against Zoom in California, United States with concerns raised about it’s security vulnerabilities. Whether the government will continue to use the platform or switch to an alternative remains to be seen.
