OYOGist.com has learned that Manchester United forward, Jude Orion Ighalo is getting set and prepared for the return of the English Premier League. The Nigerian International took to a public park in Cheshire to boost up his fitness level as the English League eyes a return.
The British Government has given a green light for the league to be continued from next month, but behind closed doors, meaning fans would not be allowed entrance into the stadia.
Ighalo can be seen spotting his united short and a training top, doing some drills to keep fit. A dog can also be seen running around with the 30 year old, though it is unknown whether the dog belongs to him or just fell in love with the Nigerian at the park.
Ighalo’s contract was supposed to end this month, but the suspension of football due to the coronavirus has brought a delay to that. Manchester United and Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær are currently weighing their options on whether to extend his contract despite his parent club Shanghai Shenhua wanting him back.
The former Watford player has had an impressive start at Old Trafford scoring 4 goals in 8 appearances. With the return of Marcus Rashford, his future hangs on the balance, as the Englishman’s injury was the major reason for his signing. Fans of Ighalo would want him to remain in Manchester, but it is up to the coach and the United board.
