Covid-19: Muslim Group Distributes Palliatives To Households In Oyo

OYOGist.com has learned that the Muslim Coalition Against COVID1-19, a group formed to reduce the negative impact of Coronavirus on the people on Saturday donated relief materials to no fewer than five hundred less privileges in Oyo state.

The items distributed are Rice, Beans and Garri. Coordinator of the group in Oyo state, Alhaji Abideen Ladeji, while presenting the items to the beneficiaries in Ibadan said the program would at the first instance covered 10 Local Government areas in Oyo State.

He noted that the group is made up of about 47 Muslim group in Nigeria and their aim was to reduce the suffering of the less privilege in Nigeria during this lockdown coursed by rampaging coronavirus in the whole world.

He said that the coalition targeted N500 million to be spent on the vulnerable throughout Nigeria, adding that they are still coming back to Oyo State and as well a cover more states.

The Chief Imam of Lalupon, Shelkh Waliyulah Otegbeye, said the palliatives would make relief in term of difficulty faced by the less privilege in the society.
Otegbeye said been one of the leaders in the community, he knows that a lot of people are really suffering because they do come to him regularly seeking for assistance.
