OYOGist.com reports

Drogba had been the massive favorite going into the poll, particularly after experienced administrator Eugene Diomande withdrew from the race and publicly back the former Ivory Coast captain.

It would’ve been joyful to see how Drogba’s vast experience in football matters would have impacted in the improvement of Ivory Coast FA had he won on that election. Though all hope is not lost as the election will soon move into the next stage.

Drogba will hope to have a better luck when the members of Active Footballers Association, the Coaches, Referees and the Physios also cast their votes.
