Nigeria records 49 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, now 542 cases and 19 deaths

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Saturday 18th of April reported forty-nine (49) new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 542, OYOGist.com has learned.

According to the NCDC report, there were 23 in Lagos, 12 in FCT, 10 in Kano, 2 in Ogun, 1 in Oyo and 1 in Ekiti as at 10:40 pm 18th April.

The number of discharged cases in the country now stands at 166, while the number of deaths are 19. While Lagos remains the epicenter of the Coronavirus cases in Nigeria, Kano is begining to see rises in number of reported cases.
