The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has been moved out of the intensive care unit and has been transferred to the general ward where he’ll continue to receive treatments, Downing Street said on Thursday.

OYOGist.com recalls that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to Intensive Care after his Covid-19 symptoms persisted and his health worsened.

Boris Johnson was moved to Intensive Care Unit on Monday, 10 days after he tested positive to Coronavirus.

The PM’s office at Downing Street said that the Prime Minister was receiving “standard oxygen treatment” while he was treated in ICU before being migrated to the ward.

He will continue to receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery,” a spokesperson for the office of the Prime Minister said. “He is in extremely good spirits.

“The Prime Minister continues to improve following a good night.”

The improvement that saw Boris Johnson moved out of ICU is received with cheers and excitement around the world. President Trump, the leader of the USA, tweeted that it was a great news.

Boris Johnson is the first Prime Minister of a Western country to get infected with coronavirus, as his country, the United Kingdom struggles with a high number of Coronavirus cases.
