Today, Friday the 20th of March, 2020, Italy records the highest death toll since the outbreak of the coronavirus – 627 deaths in one day, OYOGist.com has learned.

As the death toll in the country now surpassed 4000, the highest of any country in the world, people are being made to come to terms with what is going on there.

An Italian female nurse shared an emotional video where she recounts her experience seeing people die right in front of them as a result of the coronavirus.

“We’re not even counting the dead anymore” she said crying.

The country is now enlisting the army to help enforce orders that people stay at home in the hardest hit areas in Italy, NPR reports.

Italy overtook China as the country with the highest number of deaths from the Covid-19 pandemic on the 19th of March after recording a record 3,405 deaths.
