The 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump has been officially impeached.
The leader of the House of Representative, Nancy Pelosi started an impeachment inquiry into alleged abuse of office by President Donald Trump.
This makes Donald Trump the third American President to be impeached. However, President Trump may continue to lead the country and get re-elected if he wins his 2020 reelection bid as the impeachment will proceed to the floor of the Senate where the final case will be determined.
The Senate is controlled by Trump’s party the GOP, while the House is controlled by Nancy Pelosi’s Democratic party.
