On the 29th of November, 2019, a shooting accident involving some five police officers from the notorious Akinpelu Division in Oshodi saw one civilian dead and two injured.
This incident took place at Crest Inn Club in Balogun Street Oshodi. The Lagos Commissioner of Police ordered the immediate arrest of the erring officers involved in the crime,
They were immediately drafted for trial and were detained in custody.
The police officers involved are inspector Orubu Olusola, Inspector Apalowo Ola, Inspector Kasali Sule, Sgt. Momoh Ogwuche and Sgt. Adoga Collins. These officers are under the supervision of DSP Oloko Wale, the Divisional Crime Officer, and ASP Adamu Babajo, the Divisional Operations Officer.
