In an apparent attack on the football club FC Ifeanyi Ubah, a bus conveying the team to Kano was shot by robbers.
The incident occurred while the football team was on in transit to a match with Jigawa Golden Stars in Kano state. The team was in Lokoja — the capital of Kogi state — around 1:30 pm, Friday (30th of November), when they encountered the armed men.
Pictures circulating show a bullet hole going through the bus windshield and some of the stars bloodied.

Report reaching us confirms that the members of the football team affected now require medical attention.
The driver of the bus was shot, and five players sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
The team is expected to face the Jigawa Golden Stars by 4:00PM local time today. See more pictures from the incident below.
