Nigerian German Born Defender Set To Play For Nigeria’s Super Eagles

German-born defender Noah Salau has dumbed Germany as he pledges allegiance to Nigeria as he aimed to turn out for the Super Eagles.

The Wuppertaler SV defender model his game after Kyle Walker he is energetic and strong and he would be a good addition to the Nigeria national team if he is called up.

The 23-year-old was born in Haan, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany to a Nigerian father and German mom, and turned out for the youth teams of Fortuna Düsseldorf and Wuppertaler SV, then played for Turu Düsseldorf and FC Monheim, before returning to Wuppertaler SV in 2019.

Salau is close pals with German-born goalkeeper Maduka Okoye who has pledged his international allegiance to Nigeria and has been named in the latest Super Eagles squad ahead of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.

Salau was born in Germany but his dad hails from Kwara state. The defender has stated that he would like to rock the green and white jersey of Nigerian national team.
