President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday received the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The closed-door meeting formed part of the President’s ongoing engagements with traditional rulers across the country, underscoring the importance of traditional institutions in Nigeria’s governance, peacebuilding, and community development efforts.

Although details of the discussion were not officially disclosed, the visit is understood to have focused on issues affecting Ibadanland and Oyo State, including security, development priorities, and the role of traditional leadership in fostering stability and cooperation between government and local communities.

Oba Ladoja, who recently assumed his role as Olubadan, has been actively engaging with political and community leaders as part of efforts to strengthen unity and progress within Ibadanland.

The meeting highlights the Federal Government’s continued recognition of traditional rulers as key stakeholders in national cohesion and grassroots governance.
