Ex-Iseyin Council Boss Hails Oyo APC Stakeholders, Leaders for Unity Efforts

Former Executive Chairman of Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for convening a peaceful and well-coordinated stakeholders’ summit aimed at strengthening unity within the party ahead of future electoral engagements.

The summit, held on Friday, December 5, at the APC State Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, brought together top party leaders, chieftains and critical stakeholders in a renewed effort to restore cohesion, goodwill and collective purpose across the progressive family in Oyo State.

Adeleke, who is also the Okanlomo of Iseyinland, lauded the presence and contributions of the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Moshood Olaide Abas; Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin; former Deputy Governor, Mr. Adeyemo Moses Alake; Senator Hamzat Ayo Adeseun; Distinguished Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola, Hon. (Engr) Remi Oseni, among other notable leaders. He said their attendance underscored the seriousness with which the party is approaching reconciliation and strategic planning.

According to him, the coming together of all tendencies in the progressive camp must be viewed as a united front geared towards reclaiming political power in the 2027 general elections. Adeleke stressed that diligence, focus and unwavering commitment would be crucial in achieving this objective.

He further emphasized the need to understand the peculiar political dynamics of each local government, noting that targeted efforts and resources must be deployed where they are most needed. He warned against tendencies that undermine internal democracy, insisting that fairness and inclusiveness remain the bedrock of sustainable party’s growth.

Ex-Iseyin Council Boss, harped on natural emergence of political leaders in each local government without lording anybody on party’s members, reiterating that, if a member is allowed to enjoy his/her freedom in the party, there is every possibility that internal democracy will be restored and entrance of new members would be guaranteed.

He described the new membership of Senator Hosea Alleluyah with APC as a plus one, having acknowledged him as a grassroot and notable politician with deep connection with people across Oke-Ogun zone and beyond.

Adeleke however called for total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, urging party members to remain steadfast as the APC works towards securing victory in 2027.

He wished the party continued progress and charged leaders and members to maintain unity, cordiality and shared purpose in the march toward reclaiming governance in Oyo State and beyond.
