Ibadan to Host the Second Annual Lam Adesina Lecture Series
Preparations are complete for the upcoming second edition of the Lam Adesina Annual Lecture Series (LAALS), scheduled to take place in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Honoring a Legacy of Leadership
This distinguished event commemorates the life and contributions of the late Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, who served as Oyo State’s governor from 1999 to 2003. Adesina passed away at the age of 73 on November 11, 2012, leaving behind a legacy of impactful governance.

According to Barrister (Chief) Iyiola Oladokun, the chairman overseeing the event and former deputy governor alongside Lam Adesina, the lecture will be held at the elegant Hall of Grace, located within the Jogor Center at No 1 Harvester Drive, Liberty Stadium Road, Ibadan.

Chief Oladokun confirmed that all sub-committees responsible for various facets of the event have finalized their preparations. The centerpiece of this year’s lecture is themed “Sustaining a Legacy of Effective Leadership in Nigeria: The Imperative for Citizens’ Education.” This keynote address will be delivered by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former governor of Ogun State, known for his commitment to public service and governance reforms.
