Empowering Ogbomosoland Youths: Launch of the 2025 Ogbomoso Tech Initiative

Ogbomoso, Nigeria – November 4, 2025 – The Ogbomoso Youths in North America (OYNA) proudly unveils the Ogbomoso Tech Program 2025, a cutting-edge digital skills development project designed to support the socio-economic growth of Ogbomosoland.

Bridging Technology and Community Development

This initiative aims to equip young individuals of Ogbomosoland descent with essential software development expertise, enabling them to compete on a global scale while driving local innovation-embodying the spirit of “Fun itesiwaju ile wa” (Progress for our homeland).

The program offers an immersive eight-week foundational course tailored for tech enthusiasts aged 18 to 35. Participants will gain hands-on experience in software creation and critical problem-solving techniques, preparing them to become future leaders in technology.

OYNA seeks motivated and visionary youths ready to craft inventive technological solutions addressing community challenges. Graduates who demonstrate exceptional project outcomes will earn sponsorship to join an advanced mentorship program within the tech industry, paving the way for professional growth and impactful careers.

Who Should Apply? Eligibility and Requirements

  • Origin: Must be a bona fide indigene of Ogbomosoland.
  • Age Range: Between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Educational Background: Minimum qualification of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE). Applicants holding Higher National Diploma (HND), Bachelor’s degrees, or advanced qualifications are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency with standard computer tools such as Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
