Over the past few hours, the hashtag, #JusticeForDave has been trending on twitter, Oyogist reports.
The trend started few hours after a Twitter user alerted Nigerians concerning the unfortunate death of a sound engineer identified as Dave in Lagos.
According to her, Dave was killed after engaging in an alteration with okada riders around Lekki akis of Lagos.
He was beaten, and his lifeless body set ablaze by thugs suspected to be of Hausa origin, hours after he challenged the okada rider over his outstanding balance of N100 naira.
Our correspondent also gathered that friends of late dave who tried to help resist the violent mob, were beaten alongside and are currently in critical condition.
I don't think Lagos is as safe as many had thought. These guys from the north are all around us. They came in disguise of business, 'okada '. They are gradually believing they own Lagos too. #JusticeforDave
#JusticeForDave my question is. Were people not around when Dave was killed? Why didn't they try to help immediately. Is that how cowardly we the Christians are? This Justice for Dave won't be here if he was helped in the first place.
