According to reports reaching oyogist.com, not less Two people have been confirmed dead following an attack on the Medium Security Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Services, Abolongo, Oyo town, Oyo State.
Two other security operatives also sustained several injuries in the late Friday’s attack on the facility.
Those killed in the attack were an operative of the Amotekun Corps and an inmate who was trying to cease the opportunity of the attack to escape.
Recall oyogist has earlier reported yesterday that the Oyo Custodial Centre, which was established in 2007 with a capacity of 160 inmates, was attacked by unknown gunmen and reportedly had a total of ‘907 prisoners’ as at the time of the attack.
