According to an announcement made by Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s lifetime husband, Prince Philip has passed at the age of 99, OYOGist.com reports.
This sad news is coming just a few weeks after Prince Philip was discharged from hospital after suffering a heart illness that caused him to undergo a surgery. He spent one month at the hospital during the time of the treatment.
The Royal Family announced that the Duke of Edinburgh passed away at early morning on Friday, 9th of April 2021.
In a statement announcing the tragic news from Buckingham Palace stated, “It is with deep sorrow that her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”
