Oyogist.com has learnt that the Zamfara state government has confirmed the release of the schoolgirls abducted by bandits in the state.
Recall Oyogist.com has earlier reported that a total of 317 schoolgirls of Government Secondary School in Jangebe,Zamfara State, were abducted by unknown gunmen on Friday, February 26.
Governor of the state, Bello Matawalle, confirmed the release of the school girls on his official Twitter page.
He wrote;
“Alhamdulillahh! It gladdens my heart to announce the release of the abducted students of GGSS Jangebe from captivity. This follows the scaling of several hurdles laid against our efforts. I enjoin all well-meaning Nigerians to rejoice with us as our daughters are now safe.”
