On Tuesday 15th of December, 2020 The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has given MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, 9MOBILE and every one other telecommunications operators within the country fortnight to block all SIM cards that aren’t registered with with the National Identity Number (NIN).
This update was posted by Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant To The President On New Media at Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, via his official twitter account on Tuesday 15th of December.

“The Nigerian Communications commission (NCC) has given Telecommunication operators (MTN, GLO, Airtel, 9Mobile and others) within the country fortnight to dam all SIM cards that aren’t registered with the National Identity Numbers (NIN), the commission has said during a statement.”
“As the (NCC) gave telecommunications operators (MTN, GLO, Airtel, 9Mobile, and others) within the country fortnight to dam all SIM cards that aren’t liked with the National Identity Number (NIN), if already enrolled, dial *346# to retrieve your NIN as we await details from NCC/telcoms. SHARE.”
In lieu to the present , many of us have reacted to the present new update from the NCC. This service would cost N20 naira and there has been outcry over that.
