According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have allegedly assured that it won’t post member of the National Youth Service Corps to any rigid area in Ondo state as ad-hoc staff during the coming governorship election on the 10th of October.
Much fears had grieve so many people about the the fact that NYSC are being used as ad-hoc staff in coastal environment of the state, because they always fall victim of attacks and violence.
INEC officer in charge of civil society organizations in the state, Mrs Dolapo Alo assured this on Friday while on air program by Crest 87.7 FM Akure.
She assured parents and corps members not to panic as their won’t be any deployment of corps members to such regions but rather use the indigenes of that locality for the election.
She furthered said that there will be double canons that will take the ad-hoc staff to such areas of the state in order to overcome the case of delayance in arrival of election materials.
She also asked people to remain calm as the commission continues the distribution of non-sensitive materials to the 18 Local government areas of the state for the forth coming election. She also encouraged those people living with disabilities will surely be taken care of by the commission in other to perform their civil right freely during the election.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has warned corps members participating in the election not to post results of the polls on social media.
With great Emphasis Ibrahim encouraged the corps members to build on the performance of their counterparts in Edo State to be good representatives of the country.
