The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has celebrated a new milestone in the water transportation sector of the state, after Lagferry recorded it’s biggest single-day travel, OYOGist.com reports.
The Governor revealed that on the 10th of June. 2020, the Lagferry operations recorded its biggest single day milestone with 12 boats commuting 1,175 passengers, who covered 1,422km within Lagos waters.
“61 days ago, we launched the reinvigorated Lagferry adding new boats and an improved mode of operations as part of our plan for intermodal transportation,” Governor Sanwo-Olu posted on Twitter.
“Yesterday, the service recorded its biggest single day milestone with 12 boats commuting 1,175 pax, tranversing 1,422km,” the Governor added.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, while recognizing that Lagferry operations would require more fleet, he thanked the management and customers for the success of the service.
