OYOGist.com has learned that Bishop David Oyedepo, the presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners’ Chapel) has claimed that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) will become a disease which will be cheaper to treat than malaria. In a prophetic ministration video posted on his Twitter handle on Friday, Oyedepo declared that COVID-19 is dead, adding the disease is becoming history and will soon be extinct.
The bishop also said COVID-19, which he described as a “noisesome pestilence”, is attempting to destroy the church, following the restriction of religious services in Nigeria and other countries across the world as a means to curb the outbreak of the disease. He stated that whatever wants to destroy the church will be killed.

He decreed that the human race will escape the gate of COVID-19, adding that there would be an outbreak of revival across churches and ministries at the end of the pandemic.

The disease has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) because of its escalating infectious rate.
On the other hand, malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It was first clinically observed in the 1980s and the estimated death toll of the disease stood at 405, 000 in 2018, according to WHO.
