Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed gratitude to residents of the state following his victory in the governorship election, describing the outcome as a strong endorsement of his administration’s performance.
In a statement posted on his X account on Sunday, the governor said the election result reflected the confidence reposed in him by the people across the state.
According to Oyebanji, the outcome demonstrated the collective desire of Ekiti residents to sustain ongoing development initiatives and maintain stability in the state.
“The voice of the people has reverberated from every part of our great state, and the message is clear,” the governor stated.
He said he was humbled by the scale of the victory, noting that he secured victory in all 16 local government areas of the state while also recording about 85 per cent of the total votes cast.
“From our urban centres to our most remote communities, you have spoken with one thunderous voice for continuous development, stability, and a future of endless opportunities,” he said.
