Abuja based activist and lawyer, Comrade Adeyanju has urged Nigerians to kick against same religion joint ticket, Oyogist reports.
According to him, selection of vice presidential running mates from the same religion would create a lot of problems and division in the country.
Comrade Adeyanju’s warning is coming few hours after the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, accused politicians of playing a game with Nigerians’ faith, intelligence and future.
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the spokesman of NEF, spoke while reacting to the controversy trailing the Muslim-Muslim ticket of presidential candidates in the country.
So far, they’ve been speculations that Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, may pick a Muslim as his running mate.
