Manchester United has confirmed that their Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward will step down from his role from the 1st of February 2022.
Man United also announced that Richard Arnold, formerly Group Managing Director, will become Chief Executive Officer of the Club following Woodward’s departure.
The Red Devils disclosed this in a statement via their website on Thursday.
The statement read: “Manchester United has announced that Richard Arnold, formerly Group Managing Director, will become Chief Executive Officer of the Club, effective from 1st February 2022.
“Ed Woodward will step down from his role as Executive Vice-Chairman, also effective from 1st February 2022.”
Reacting to his appointment, Arnold told the club’s official website: “I’m honoured to have the chance to serve this great club and its fans. I’m determined to return that honour in any way I can.”
