According to reports reaching oyogist.com, Adelaide United star, Josh Cavallo has revealed the reason why the date he came out as the world’s first recognised gay male professional footballer was so special to him.
Josh cavallo had stated that he was ‘hiding who he is’ and ‘living a double life’ before he made the brave announcement.
Josh is now the only recognised gay professional footballer.
According to him, he hopes “Opening up about his sexuality will inspire others who are struggling.
In an interview with the Herald Sun, Josh Cavallo shared how he had spent years ‘living a double life’ and would worry that simple locker room banter could expose him.
‘Before it was like … when I’m playing games or training, I’m worried about the conversation in the change rooms afterwards. It’s very confusing and it’s draining, it’s tiring,’ he said.
