Oyogist has learned that Senator Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian lawmaker, has urged the Nigerian government to declare bandits as federal civil servants.
The ex lawmaker highlighted that the government is finding it difficult to pronounce these bandits as terrorists.
Over the years, several Well-meaning Nigerians, individuals and groups have provided various reason the Buhari administration should declare bandits’ groups in the North as terrorists.
However, Bandits and kidnappers are on rampage in various parts of the country, killing, kidnapping and maiming residents.
In a tweet on Monday morning, the former lawmaker represented Kaduna Central District at the 8th Assembly, said, “They [bandits] killed Muslim worshipers in their mosques in Niger and Katsina State; they killed Christians in their Churches in Kaduna State; if the Government doesn’t want to declare them terrorists, it should declare them federal civil servants.”
