Oyogist has learned that the Kano State Hisbah Board has confirmed the arrest of five men suspected of engaging in homosexuality at Sheka Barde in the Kumbotso local government area of Kano.
The Commander of the Hisbah Board, Harun Ibn-Sina, confirmed the arrest in a statement.
According to him, the arrests were made following reports from residents of the area.
“All the suspects are confirmed to be above 20 years of age. They were apprehended on July 11 during a special raid,” he said.
Whike expressing outrage over the activities of the youth, the Commander urged Nigerians to shun such practices.
