The 200,000 tonnes and 400m long MV Ever Given vessel that has caused blockage at the Egypt Suez Canal after getting stuck for days has finally been freed, OYOGist.com has gathered.
The Suez Canal is one of the world’s most important shipping route, responsible for 12 percent of global shipping.
The massive boat which is operated by Taiwanese Evergreen Shipping Company got stuck at the Suez Canal on Tuesday, and has required extensive efforts to free it. Over 300 other ships were held up in traffic, delaying £9.6 billion in daily shipments.
According to the BBC, Maritime services company, Inchape reported the vessel has been refloated and passage has been created for other ships to sail.
