According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has unveiled a new transportation scheme called ‘Lagos Ride’.
The Governor disclosed this via his verified twitter handle after signing an agreement with CIG Motors in Lagos.
He tweeted: “At the unveiling of ‘Lagos Ride’ today, a transportation scheme that will deploy 1,000 units of brand new SUVs within the metropolis, we also signed a JV Agreement to set up a Vehicle Assembly Plant with CIG Motors in Lagos.”
“The Lagos Ride Scheme is another innovative policy of our administration targeted at making life easier for Lagosians, improving mobility and creating a seamless multi-modal transportation system.”
“The scheme is in fulfilment of our desire to give residents better transportation choices. The modern ride service is one of the State Government’s socio-economic intervention programmes, which will be professionally managed in line with global best practices.”
