Oyogist.com has learnt that Texas Governor, Greg Abbott has ordered a lift in the Nationwide mask mandate in the state.
The Governor also demanded that certain COVID-19 restrictions should be lifted on businesses in Texas starting from next week.
The mask order was only ever lightly enforced, even during the worst outbreaks of the pandemic.
“Covid has not suddenly disappeared,” he said, “but state mandates are no longer needed.
“Meanwhile Mississippi Governor, Tate Reeves also put an end to the statewide mask mandate, effective Wednesday of this week.
“Our hospitalizations and case numbers have plummeted, and the vaccine is being rapidly distributed,” Reeves tweeted. “It is time!”Several Americans so far has reacted to the mandate, as they cautioned against the implementation of the laws.
