Breaking: FCT imposes fresh guidelines for religious centres, others amid second Covid-19 wave

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has issued another fresh lockdown restriction following the wake into the second phase of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The was made known by the FCT minister, Muhammad Bello, who noted that there is going to be an enforcement team which would help in minimizing the effect of the coronavirus in the capital.

The minister noted that the recent infection rate figures of the virus was very high as the there was an urgent need to curb the Covid-19 pandemic in the FCT.

The Minister has now further enforced the the following restrictions in the FCT; “No mask, no entry, no service. All office and business premises must have a hand washing station with running water and soap or hand sanitizer.

“Employees who are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms should notify their supervisors immediately or stay at home and seek medical attention to confirm diagnosis by doing a COVD-19-test.


“While the above guidelines regulate formal workplace and business environment, the holiday season demands that we also place special emphasis on market places, places of worship and entertainment as well as recreational centres which traditionally attract large gatherings during this period,” the Minister stated.
