According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Nigerian Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has urged the federal government to take up the full responsibility of the protection of lives and properties in the country.
He said the National House Of Assembly would not fold its hands and watch the whole country go up in flames but rather, the National Assembly would continue to engage the Federal Government till the right appropriate measures are taken.
“We should continue to engage with the Executive arm of government until the appropriate actions are taken, because that is what we are expected to do as a Parliament.”
Lawan stated this during the Tuesday house plenary meeting which sited on the issue of the recent kidnapping of students at the Government Science School, Kankara, Katsina State.
